Developing a Research-Worthy Problem

I ran across an interesting article today which I wanted to share. Timothy Ellis and Yair Levy provided great research and insight addressing the question of what constitutes a research-worthy problem statement and how might it be constructed. As discussed in the Dissertation101 lesson covering the Problem Statement, the problem statement is indeed the starting point, or "centerpiece" (Ellis & Levy, 2008, p. 1) for doctoral research.

Here is a link to the Ellis and Levy article: http://inform.nu/Articles/Vol11/ISJv11p017-033Ellis486.pdf

Feel free to share your thoughts, or send Dr. Lonny an email for specific discussion and assistance with your problem statement.

Best success,

Dr. Lonny
